My goal is to help empower women to have the birth they want. A birth experience characterized by respect is more likely to be remembered with joy and pride. My job is to ensure that your voice is heard before, during and after birth; as well as to make sure that your physical and emotional needs are met. I serve women planning to give birth in a hospital, birth center or at home; women planning to use medication and women who do not, and everyone in between! I believe that every woman who wants a doula should have one regardless of her financial situation, so I offer a flexible payment plan and sliding scale fees. I am a DONA certified doula and an ALACE certified childbirth educator. In addition to assisting women at births, I teach independent childbirth classes and serve as a postpartum doula for women who would like in-home support after their baby is born. I am also the mother of two wonderful sons, whose births inspired me to help other women through this very special time. Birth is a sacred and momentous event in a woman's life, and it would be an honor to nurture and support you during this transition.
